We’re against fly tipping
We are supporting Chichester District Council's initiative to help tackle the issue of fly tipping in the district and to help protect our local environment. This is part if the council's award winning Against Litter campaign.
The council has seen an increase in the amount of waste being fly tipped in the local area.
This is unsightly; poses an environmental risk; and, clearing it up is a huge cost to local taxpayers.
Fly tipping is a serious crime which can result in a fine of up to £50,000 and a prison sentence for those responsible.
If someone removes your waste on your behalf, it's vital that you use a licensed waste carrier and ask for a waste transfer note as evidence. If you don't do this, and your waste is fly tipped, you couldbe held responsible. This could result in a prosecution and you could face a fine.
We are registered with the Environment Agency and proud to display Chichester District Council’s ‘licensed’ logo so that you can be sure your waste is safe with us.
